Location
Matangi is a private island resort, owned and managed by the Douglas family, 5th generation Fijian's of Scottish descent. The island is located near Taveuni Island, in the north-east of Viti Levu. The hotel is a 20 minute scenic mini-bus ride to the boat landing and from there an other 20 minutes by water taxi.

Inspired by the authentic Fijian and Polynesian style of home, Matangi Island Resort features some of the most elaborate and individually unique accommodation in Fiji.

You can dine at the onsite restaurant that serves Fijian fare to European or American favourites.

Matangi features very unique accommodation in a very relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. It offers lots of activities including snorkelling, scuba diving, sailing, kayaking, wind surfing, private beach excursions and village tours. Matangi is protected within a large reef system which makes kayaking around the island.
