Twizel is located on the main highway between Christchurch and Queenstown. It's a township that was developed during the pioneering era of the South Island. Located just 60 km from Mount Cook National park and the mountain of the same name. The area is great for outdoor sports and activities in some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world.
